Advanced Health Institute is seeking an experienced MDS RN Nurse Consultant to join our growing consulting team. This role combines remote MDS coordination with on-site consulting at partner facilities. Some travel and overnight stays are required.
Responsibilities
Manage and schedule all required Resident Assessment Instruments (RAIs) in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Direct and oversee RAI functions to ensure staff compliance and documentation accuracy.
Coordinate, complete, and maintain timely MDS assessments (initial, quarterly, annual, and OBRA-required).
Ensure resident care plans and supporting documentation meet all regulatory requirements.
Oversee the encoding and electronic submission of MDS, RUGS, Medicare, Medicaid, and OBRA documentation.
Review nursing notes to ensure clarity, accuracy, and alignment with resident care.
Arrange assessments to optimize RUG/CMI scores.
Manage Medicare coverage reviews, denials, and communication with admissions and billing.
Educate staff on ADL documentation and MDS best practices.
Collaborate with therapy teams to ensure accurate capture of therapy minutes.
Participate in developing individualized care plans based on CAA results.
Maintain an accurate and current roster matrix.
Support quality improvement initiatives.
Participate in shared on-call rotation with nursing leadership.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing or leadership team.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (preferred).
Active and unrestricted RN license (required).
2–5 years of experience in MDS, restorative, geriatric, or psychiatric nursing in long-term care or related healthcare settings.
Strong knowledge of nursing, rehabilitative, and restorative practices, as well as laws and regulations governing long-term care.
Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Willingness and ability to travel for on-site assignments.
ANACC Certification preferred.

Advanced Health Institute is seeking a Part-time and Full-time Doctor of Podiatry Medicine (DPM) to join our growing practice and team. Candidates will be applying to provide podiatric care to residents in long-term care and assisted living facilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities for this full-time position include, but are not limited to:

REQUIREMENTS
